Oktopi AI collaboration for research efficiency
Summary
AdAlta has entered a strategic collaboration with Oktopi, gaining access to the Oktopi Platform — an AI-enabled, software-as-a-service platform purpose-built to sharpen the many expert decisions involved in developing a new medicine.
Bringing a medicine to patients takes thousands of expert judgements across many specialist disciplines. Oktopi uses artificial intelligence — always guided by human experts — to help our team pressure-test development plans with the rigour of a full committee of senior experts, ask the right questions at each stage, and identify gaps before they become costly delays. In a large, blinded independent study, experts rated Oktopi’s AI peer-review responses as expert-level in 96.7% of cases.
The collaboration is part of a wider strategy to use AI across our business. It builds on our in-house AI agent, developed on Anthropic’s Claude, which pre-screens new in-licensing opportunities and lets us assess far more assets for our ‘East to West’ strategy. Together, these tools strengthen both ends of our capital-efficient model: choosing the right products to in-license, and developing them with greater speed, rigour and confidence. Additional tools are being evaluated.
The new tools are expected to deliver faster, better decisions, higher-quality plans, and more efficient use of specialist consultants as we scale.
